Well. We are actually on Lake Blackshear, so probably won't see me there. Had some good friends that just recently sold their house on the water overlooking the back of Port Royal though. Right behind it! Big place with a double story dock. So very familiar with that area. Been there a lot.

This thread is bittersweet...
I love the talk and help on this forum, but the photos while I'm stuck at work are killing me. This weekend cannot come fast enough.
Thinking about trying the swallow lake nearby for the fireworks over the water display. Anybody ever put their boat in a puddle (10ft avg depth)?

Not trying to surf. I would be going out late, let the kids swim and have a few beers then watch the firework display once the sun goes down. I'm more worried about getting back to the dock with the rest of the fools once it gets dark. But I figured I would ask about any bad experiences at 10ft of water.

Just don't hit the bottom and you will be fine!. No really, the lake we are in has many places that are only 7-9 ft and people ski, wakeboard, tube over them all the time. Most probably don't even know it. No surfing in the shallows though as you could imagine.
