I agree. I was not sold on it initially. My design was red/black. My daughter redesigned it and it got submitted by almost unanimous household decision. Only one nay vote. I really like it now. I still am not too partial to the full one color brown/pecan. As upscale as it may seem, its nice to break it up.

Did a little night surfing a few days ago for the first time. It was pretty cool to finally use all the tower lights. The surfer was lit up like a Christmas Tree, but it was fairly tough for the driver to see very far out. Luckily there wasn’t much debris to worry about.

Yes it was. I also had the docking lights on, which helped to see about 15’ in front of the bow, but the tower lights didn’t do much in the way of projecting out on the water. In retrospect, I probably only needed one tower light facing the surfer and 3 facing forward. That may have helped. There wasn’t much moon light, so it was pretty dark out there. We put a person in the front to help watch. It was super cool though. I would definitely do it again.

Night surfing looks pretty cool but it would freak me out lol. We never boat at night just because of fear of debris plus illegal in my state and the waters are patrolled, It didn't look like your surfer had any type of reflective device or even w glow stick on. Seems like they would be a must, unless I guess you have spot lights on your boat as well? I've seen those surf boards with crazy LED lighting on them and it looks insane lol

Got to finally try out the LTU buoys last wknd....
I don't have a BABZ for direct comparison but I can honestly say the LTU ones are three times the size of my old Exile ones.
I was WAY less nervous cozying up to Cactus' brand spanking new, paper plate, 2021 SE 550.

Trying a double surf without enough human or water ballast.
Not happening.
Few seasons ago I had 10 on board and full ballast and we almost had it. However the wind kicked up, big swells and we barely made it off the river alive so had some reluctance to try again being so fully loaded down. The front board sends off so much spray it kind of pushes the back rider out of the wave.
Best boat dog ever. Loves to dive in after the kids.
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

We had two 100 degree days in a row. The ramps/parks were full by 7:30am and turning people away. We went up to the highest reservoir by Mt St Helens - same one Trayson was posting about. After a day on the water we were just cruising around and spotted a white stripe back in a cove.
Here's one you don't see every day - a first for me.
It was deep enough we could motor right up to it. A bit chilly though! So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?
