Although I have one gripe maybe you can bring up to someone (whoever makes these decisions).
Why do you guys use that sub as a Free Air Sub? People come on here all the time and say how horrible it is & they think it's a shitty sub. I know for. A fact it is not shitty cause I have 4. They ARE NOT Free Air Subs. They need a box to sound good. A small 10" box I guess would increase build costs but not by much for a better sound & installed how it should be installed. Just my 2 cents.
Thanks again for the pics
PS post the R&D pics...I won't tell

Hey Brett, Sorry about delay. It is amazing how fast Mondays fly by sometimes. hahaha
In regards to your question about the Sub, I totally agree that it would sound much better if it was mounted in a true enclosure. We do that on the Mojo Pro Sub and on all the Supra Subs. The way we do it on the Pro and Supra is with a fiberglass enclosure we build in house. This is a terrible excuse, but currently we have a hard time building all the current small parts and it is a resource issue. But we are constantly making changes to that and hopefully sooner than later we will be improving that area of the plant and adding an enclosure to all subs. Maybe that will be one of the 2019 improvements. The good news is we have tried to think ahead and until we offer it from the factory, there is plenty of room to build a custom box in there if you want to do that yourself.
In addition to that, the truth is we will probably never be a "custom" stereo level installation. We are a manufacturing facility and unfortunately part of that is hitting manufacturing tack times and delivery. We try and treat every boat with the highest quality like a custom boat, but getting the absolute best sound or performance out of a stereo requires a little more fine tuning than we currently are set up to do. We have amp setup sheets and we do adjust every amp, but again getting the best performance out of an amp requires tuning to make sure all gains, crossovers, filters, etc are setup just right. We also typically have our amps set on the more conservative side. I am sure many of you have found that out and by adjusting the amps, you can improve performance. We understand that and we are constantly trying to improve that, but sometimes the improvements are more baby steps than anything.
Anyways, hopefully we will continue to improve all our "performance" related components including subs. But until then, we are trying to give you plenty of space and room to do whatever you would like. Hope that makes sense....
