I agree on 2018+ if only because of fx1 tower and swell surf 3 plate upgrade, plus I think they added 300# of ballast capacity, 6 pumps

Good call on the pumps . . . . going from 3 to 6 was very nice.

Before I purchased my SL, I was looking at the SG that had upgraded 1450 ballast bags. It took a little time to fill up those puppies up.

Does the 2016 SA have the 1.76 or the 1.5?
The makai should be the 1.7.

For Supra, I think in 2019 the updated trans started mid-year for the 450.

2020 it was standard on 400 and 450.

2022 was the big 550/575 - whatever the super charged motor is called.

2013 to 2015 Skiers introduced the SA model, but the boat had a lower bow and sides. I think Skiers Marketing called it 'shock and awe'.

I looked at this boat back in '14 at fort freemont in wisconsin. compared to the SC it sat next to, this hull was still a ski and wakeboard boat. sales guys said it took water on pretty easy when loaded up to surf with the weights people were running.

Love my SA, but wouldn't get a pre 2018. The Makai or Mojo with 450 and newer V drive ratio would be my choice. Plus you get 6 pump ballast and chill tech, all sub floor ballast as well.
