Hi guys,
I was trying to look at the shaft alignement when I noticed that my transission is sitting on the fiberglass hump where the shaft comes in and that my oilpan drain plug is only 1/8 of an inch from the bottom. Also, the four nuts on the shafy flange are completely loose. I don’t think that this is normal. I have added a couple of pictures.

I think that i should use the four engine mounts to elevate the engine, but before i do that, i would really apreciate any advise. I was able to find a video for a direct drive shaft alignement but nothing for a v-drive. Any help would be greatly apreciated. Thanks
These are my motor mounts. They are not the same. Is this normal ?

After a little bit of research, I think that my first course of action will be to change the bushings in tje motor mounts. It is pretty clear that one of them has completely collapsed and the othe one is failling as well. I think that changing them will raise the engine by quite a bit.
Let me know what you think
I would say that certainly cannot hurt things. When I read your first post, engine mount bushings were my first thought. A worn or broken engine mount can quickly lead to other problems too. Misalignment in your prop shaft and or seals for one.

The 2009 had bad motor mounts that will chew up the rubber bushings. You need to change your rubber bushings $8 when I did them in 2011 or so and grind your mount so the flange does not have a lip on it. You will see/ feel when you take the bushing out. If you don’t round it off it will happen within a year. I couldn’t be bothered to take it to dealer even though it was under warranty back then. It’s about a hour job. You need to check your alignment after, as I can tell you it is definitely out right now. Look for my motor mount thread
hear is a brief video showing the mount flange lip that needs grinding
