My wife stays in the truck covering foot on brake anytime the boat is being loaded or unloaded on the ramp. So we good there. When solo I would use a chock sometimes on sketchy ramps. I’ve also forgot to remove the chock prior to pulling out and let me tell ya, a plastic chock will sound like a double barrel shotgun when it explodes and you’ll get all kinds of funny looks from the ramp crowds
