absolutely agree if you have a complex life, small business or some other wierd thing. for the VAST majority of americans that own 2 cars, a home and a few toys with a modest savings and very few if any claims, shopping around both agents and online companies every year or 3 makes good financial sense.

but that's up to each individual. save a few and do some legwork yourself if you have a claim OR have an agent, maybe pay a little more and MAYBE you get better service when that same claim arrives. glad we all have choices.
