Ballast is 5300 of water—wakemakers rears and 600 bow bag. Then 800 of lead—with 450 moved to bow if you have 2-3 good sized guys in the cockpit. Running 11.9-12.1 plates in very normal positions 60 regular and 70 goofy. Zero wakeplate.

The geometry of 3.0 works very well. Just enough yaw to clean the face without much if any weight shift needed.

I was very surprised at how the wave lengthened. Very.

We were hauling ass and it was still very tall and amazingly long.

    Pretty damned cool.

From the before pics with flow 2, the wave crest is dirty. It’s very impressive how clean the Flow 3 face is. Night and Day!!

It may be the pics—-my flow 2 waves weren’t usually dirty much—I would say cleanliness is very similar. The real kicker in flow 3 is no shifting of weight is needed. It’s just like my Swell 3 was. Clean switching.

The really surprising part is the yaw lengthening the wave significantly. I didn’t expect that. It’s a better wave. Same boat, same ballast, even same people/boards.

    Awesome result.

Thats awesome...now will see if my dealer is willing to play ball on getting me plates without trying to sell me a new boat...hahaha

You got any pics of the install you are willing to share...some thoughts:

    1) Is it only the single entry point for wire running through the hull?

    2) Pics of the wiring harness plugging into the PDM?

I just want to validate that I can do it on my 2019!

Depends on the PDMs? On my 2021 Max: There’s an open port on my PDM located in the front of the STBD locker. There is a hole already drilled thru the upper actuator bracket that is blocked off with a hex bolt. I opened it and drilled it out.

Then actuators and oem wire harness, and plates.

Then I would have no idea if the software is up to the task...Flow three was not an option on the 2019 Makai, so I’m not sure that having the big screen alone gets you all the other things you need. And I don’t know how you would verify that.

So with the second actuator, does it move only into one position regardless of where the tab is or can it move into many positions? So all the way up when stowed and then all the way down or down in various positions?
    Thanks.

Various deployments depending on the measured displacement from Autowake system. Pretty slick.

That’s the new 2021+ logic from my understanding.

Fantastic upgrade Peter_North! You should create a dedicated how to/info thread to help people out moving forward (or document all your mods in a BattleMax thread!).

You got it! It’s got to be the worlds most upgraded max at this point

We wakeboarded yesterday as well. Holy cow does this thing throw a nice wake. 800 pounds of lead weight in boat 0% amplitude setting on auto wake 20 miles an hour. Just perfect
