The old ecoboost seems to do just fine pulling the Moomba. Never noticed a hunger for power. Little things got plenty of torque. I still have concerns about long term durability of a turbo engine vs the naturaly aspirated V8, but so far so good. Hasn't let me down. I wont worry bout it until start approaching 100k+ miles. I take good care of it and outside of hauling the boat, I do not drive it hard, so I expect it to last for my needs. Don't think I would get it if it was a truck used for work such as regular heavy loads/construction/landscaping business, and that sort of thing. Bur for the weekend warrior its more than adequate and I'm pretty happy with it.

Our gen1 in our expeditions has 97,000 miles I think with about 10% of that pulling our 7,000 lbs Mojo and no issues really. We did have a water pump get replaced under warranty but that was it.
