Oh a lighter note (because I need to live in the present and embrace life), I got a last minute text from a buddy of mine that recently picked up a Centurion Fi21. I dropped my Saturday tinkering and Threw my gear together in about 10 minutes and headed out to the launch to jump onboard. The centurion was pretty rad and had all sorts of tech on it (and admittedly he hadn't COMPLETELY dialed the wave), but it helped me be content with my 10 year old XLV. Sure the old XLV doesn't have all the fancy gadgets or even as much weight as the Fi21, but my dialed wave is a lot more fun for me to play on and makes me happier (not to mention all the storage I have with my playpen bow). But it's always fun to get out on new boats and experience what else is out there. And an afternoon on the water is better than doing projects on land.
He got to play on my Doomswell Nubstep and really liked it.
