Waxing new boat
So I finally put a deposit down on a 2014 Mondo and couldn't be more excited about it. It has a December spray date and will likely arrive in MN mid January.
With a January arrival, I am sure I will have more than enough time to prepare the boat for the summer.
What are people's thoughts/guidelines about waxing a new boat and what products do people use to protect the boat.

Congrats on the new boat,Everybody has there favorites but for years i haved used Starbright marine polish at least 4 to 5 times a year and dont neglect the hull, its a pain but if you protect it now it will save you alot of elbow grease later if it gets stained, after a day on the water i recently switched to the Hot Sauce from boat-bling there was a forum discount a while back and i wish i would have switched sooner this stuff is just awesome, highly recommend, havent tried there vinyl products yet but have some on the way,Been using 303 protectant and it is great also.

I highly recommend Meguire's waxing products. I use them for the boat as well as all my other vehicles. Never had an issue and just love how it makes everything shine!!! My two cents - use microfiber, for everything.

With a January delivery date in Minnie-Soda and assuming your garage is heated:
- Move the cars out of the garage
- Give the boat a nice warm home in the garage (make sure it is well lit)
- Use any quality wax
- Start ordering upgraded ballast and stereo equipment - Ping MLA, your not that far from NC
- Install an on-board battery charger
- Wax it every two weeks
- Follow up by sitting in it and making "motor" noises while cranking your new stereo and showing your wife how cool the RGB LEDs are - Over and over - Trust me she will LOVE it! She may not show it, but she will
Congratulations, what color combo?Sent by the random thoughts from the voices in my head...
