Uh, you might think about at least once a year dumping a little dish soap in your bilge and running the hose in there till the bilge pump comes on a few times. Stuff looks a little dirty and oily. Makes doing installs and stuff a little more comfortable.

I'm happy to report all went well with the ballast upgrade. In summary, three Johnson reversible pumps were installed in the engine locker as pictured, each with their own thru-hull. All fill/drain hosing was upgraded to 1". The IBS was plumbed off a Bosworth valve that was installed beside the helm. All vent lines have check valves installed and the rear vent lines were run to opposite sides. I'll probably wait until I burn up an impeller before relocating the ballast switches.
I've been following this board for over year and I would like to sincerely thank everyone for sharing information about how they went about their own ballast upgrades. Also thanks to Wakemakers for providing solid information and a convenient one stop shopping solution.Last edited by tcallis; 04-01-2013 at 10:54 PM.

Do you have any pictures of the thru hull locations in the bottom of the boat?
