I've had no problems with my platform pad (I think the problems came after 2006 when they switched suppliers) but I did get an opportunity to sample the Seadek pad on mandley's boat and it's a lot softer than the stock one. So it's much easier on the knees especially for kids who tend to get up on the platform by swinging their knees onto it.
