Slick design and cheaper than clamping style

I've got an Axis branded prototype of this at the house. Might put it on Ron

I would imagine this edge clamp design is better for surf style boards due to not pinching the center of boards?

The new 3.0s have a wider longer clamp, I've never seen any damage to a surf board with 2.0 or 3.0

The new 3.0s are nice. The rubber inserts really grab the boards better and hold in place.

I have the 1.0s and 2.0s on my boat now, the big difference between those are the wider forks (2s vs 1s), how the release, and some internal part upgrades. I'm happy with those, but the new ones would be cool to try out.
