2021 Moomba Craz impeller (engine not ballast) replacement, quote $710
Ive seen a few posts on this topic. General consensus is that this is easy-ish especially with the right impeller tool.
My dealer quoted me $710 just for the engine impeller. $80 for part and 3 hours of labor at $189 + tax. When I questioned this they said that the newer models have the engine situated so that this task is now very tough and indeed takes 3 hours.
The boat is in storage or I would check myself.
Can anyone confirm/deny? I haven't seen any discussion around this having any truth, but please weigh in if you can.

I’m not mechanical at all and it was cake. Took me 30 minutes my first time. Once you do it once you will never pay to have it done again. I do have an impeller puller that really helped.

The impeller is $30.
Impeller tool is $50.
Takes 45 minutes from start to finish including the celebration beer and washing your hands.
For $710 I'll fly to you and do it! That is robbery pricing.2015 Moomba Mojo Surf Edition

I have the '21 Craz and have done this several times. It is not hard. Maybe 20 min. I actually changed one out on the water, without the impeller tool. $700 is robbery!

For that price with labor, I would think they quoted all impellers - engine and ballast.
Yes - relatively easy, but a dealer has a set number of hours per job - like going to the car shop and paying for a quoted number of labor hours.
Should be lots of videos online if you try it yourself - YouTube.
Same with oil changes - easy to do, but the dealer has a set number of hours plus shop fees in their quotes.2018 Supra SL400

It took about 30-40 min on my 21 Craz. It's a bit of a pain but doable for sure. $700 is insane!

Maybe the three hours breaks down to:
1 hour of staring at it and hoping it comes out
1 hour of removing and installing
1 hour of gazing at a finished product and feeling proud.
