    Default Video editing software

Picked up a GoPro 8 this weekend. Go some great surfing vids this weekend. The GoPro iOS and GoPro Quik apps seem pretty crappy for making decent videos. Interested what software others are using to make/edit videos.

Filmora9 works great for me. User friendly, tons of instructional videos, cheap lifetime subscription, and you still get updates with new features. I have FilmoraPro too, but that was way too advanced for me lol. I didn't want to go thru a long learning curve.

I just used filmora 9 to edit two videos from this summer. Ill link them below. I dont have the best laptop and it worked pretty well given my limited computing power. The 2nd video I made went a lot fast than the first due to just getting more familiar with the software. It really is pretty easy to use and youtube has a ton of how to videos for tips and tricks.

I have, its intuitive. I like it. Just need to spend more time with it. The free version has all the editing tools you need. There's a lot of cool stuff in it. Just about have to take a course to grasp all the functionality. My laptop just doesn't have the inner guts to handle video editing so its sloooowwww.

I tried it first. I did not find it user friendly. For me, it really doesn't matter how great the software is if I can't figure out how to use it. I used to use GoPro Studio until they got rid of it. I was looking for something user friendly like that, but also offered some creative editing features. Filmore9 was the best fit.

Good to know from both of you! I am looking to get a new laptop and am considering going away from Mac but want to make sure I can still have a good video editing program. DaVinci came highly recommended so I was curious if anyone else was using it. There are a ton of videos on YouTube that make for great tutorials on it and looks pretty sweet!
