Our "truck" is my wife's "truck". (we get crap from some people who say it's not a real truck, but it's got a tailgate and a bed, so who cares if it's IFS/IRS with a trunk under the bed???)
2009 Honda Ridgeline RTL. Bought it with under 10k miles and it now has only 21k. It's Stock and rollin' on the stock 18's... (the wife doesn't mod things like I do).
The first trip out on the Supra:
I honestly have no desire to have a typical "truck". I'm prefectly happy driving my M3 cabrio or sportbike when it's sunny out, and driving my Audi wagon when it's raining. Plus, so many of these trucks lifted with giant tires that never see anything but pavement. I roll on 35's but it's so I can go places none of these pretty trucks would ever go.
(one of these days I might try pulling the Supra with the Jeep since it's got upgraded axles, brakes, etc; but the reciever is tweaked so it points a little down and the drawbar was at an angle to the coupler and it didn't want to hitch up the day I was gonna try it. it didn't help that the boat is parked on my sloped RV spot. In the end, I just take the wife's Ridgeline and have her drive the Audi for our 10 mile drive to the ramp...)
Bottom line is that I hate having redundant vehicles. The ridgeline is awesome to get the wife to work if it snows (AWD) and still gets decent gas mileage and gives her a comfy ride like an SUV. It still has a 5000 pound tow rating and gets the Supra to/from the launch just fine. It's never so much as spun a tire when pulling out the boat on the wet or even sandy pavement. It does have a bed that we've used to haul sheets of plywood, cinder blocks, a mess of old wheels/tires, and more. Plus, she has the trunk under the bed to put the groceries into when it's raining.
The Audi gets us up to the mountain during ski/snowboard season quite comfortably, and has plenty of hauling room in it's own right. And the M3 vert, the Sportbike, and the Jeep are just plain fun.Last edited by trayson; 10-29-2013 at 05:28 PM.

There is a part of me though that wishes I would have kept my 2004 Explorer XLT V8 (single color factory paint, dropped on 20's, billet grills, dual exhaust, etc). It would have been a fun tow rig.

They have pulling power but they don't have towing capability. 1,000 pounds. 2,000 with the four door. Great for moving the boat around the driveway though..lol. Thats why I have a pickup. I love to go to Moab and you hafta have one there. It does carry a 250 pound dirt bike..lol.
