    Default i bent the rudder on my 03 outback need some suggestions on how to fix it !!

    i bent the rudder backwards just so that you cant turn i plan to fix it but have no idea how to get the rudder off of the boat help please

    I don't mean to sound mean but probably if you don't have the skills or experience to do this task it might be better off finding someone with the experience.

    www.skidim.com should have the part.

    I believe on the outback, you will have to open the rear ski locker, remove the floor to get to the rudder... MAY or MAY not have to remove the fuel tank... I think you can get to the rudder right there.

    make sure prop/shaft are ok too..

    The rudder is really simple to remove. Just remove the floor panel in the ski locker, pull the cotter pin, and remove the bolt. The rudder will then drop down through the hull. I think once you pull the floor panel, you'll figure it out pretty fast.

    Unfortunately, replacements are not cheap.
