The if you're thinking that the problem is the plastic through hulls themselves, those parts are no longer available. I had to go to great lengths to find some stainless steel ones that would even fit and work as a replacement. It meant new elbows on the inside and new connections to my homemade fresh air exhaust surf pipe on the outside. And simply drilling a few new mounting screw holes. Oh and I also had to cut off a little of the through hull pipes I bought, Because they had this weird funky downturn that I didn't need.
My plastic through hulls ultimately failed because they melted because something affected the cooling of the engine like the cover popping off the raw water pump, or the raw water pump not priming, or the valve being Left on running it from the hose versus pulling from the raw water intake... Whatever the reason, if your engine gets hot enough it will melt the plastic and the OEM elbows won't be able to clamp on them effectively.
