Seems like a lot of people say the Matrix is the best board for something like this but I also like the idea of the Hammerhead to help with riding out 180's/riding switch.
Here is my question...The skim style board I currently use is a Liquid Force Primo. Since I already have this is there any reason to upgrade to the Matrix? Primo I have is 4'10, looks like the Matrix would recommend 4'5" (53") based on my size (don't know if that would make a big difference or not). If not worth the upgrade, is the Hammerhead with the peanut shape a good board to help with learning to ride out 180's?
Hi Alan, yes size and weight are very important to start. Then based on riding skill also influences the type of board. For example, ph 5 hammerhead is a great big boys board but if you are doing shuvs you will need to look at different board, but again need to know your weight for sizing.
