Here is a case going on that went from a tragic accident to a criminal case as some people weren't truthful with police. If an accident occurs, people have to accept the consequences and it helps to cooperate with authorities. Our dive rescue team used a newly acquired sonar in locating the victims.


Another issue that could cause a similar accident that occurred in Canada is the use of green, red or blue LEDs that are visible from other boats. In particular, the green LEDs as a boater seeing green are to stay the course (stand on) and not deviate unless it is obvious a collision is imminent. Having green LEDs visible on the port side can really mess up other boaters at night as they may not change course when they see green. That is why the use of certain color lights are prohibited except for navigation. My 2 cents. Stay safe this weekend.
