you can get a wave out of any stock boat but if you really want to take advantage of what the mondo can do, or quite frankly ANY wakeboat out there from any manufacturer, you will be adding larger bags or lead of some variety.
surfing takes a lot of weight to displace the hull and with capacity plates and manufacturer liabilities not many are putting in what the boats will really hold and need to produce a wave that is "money".
all imo mind you but having spent time on a mondo, when he upgraded to the 900's and ibs, the wave was night and day.
