The box anchor is pretty much all that works on our sandy mud bottom lakes and rivers.
You are so right, the tower and big Bimini act like a sail boat. The lakes I frequent are fairly quiet, but a couple times last year with shifting winds, I had the boat damn near do a 360 while anchored.

Thinking a small shore spike is all I need combined with the box anchor.

BTW, the small box anchor is very impressive.
