The great oil debate.

All full synthetics are not created equal.

I am not a fan of Dexos 1 rated oils at all because they limit to low levels of ZDDP to prevent contamination to catalytic converters.

I am also not of fan of extremely high levels of ZDDP.

That said Mobil 1 dexos 1 is appx 650ppm of ZDDP (Mobil 1 is constantly changing this level also, it’s a moving target), which is ok for a low lift stock camshaft engine like a Raptor.

I much prefer 800-1100ppm levels such as Amsoil or Redline.

For a 5W30, Amsoil signature series 5w30 is 900ppm. I use this in my boat and daily drivers that are stock.

Not that anyone here is installing a higher lift camshaft but if they did, I would step it up to amsoil 5W30 diesel series 3000 at 1100 ppm ZDDP.
