So, I have been surfing with my Mondo and it's 1100lb locker bags and the wave is huge, long and clean ----- when it's calm. When I'm out in choppy water it washes out frequently. Is this normal?

Yes. Wave is always better in calmer water

Definitely washes our wave out. It seems to help if we position the rider between the wave and the shore line versus having them face the open water. On our lake there is some shore line without houses that allows us to ride pretty close and still be in 20+ feet deep water. Not a perfect solution but the best solution we have come up with.

Same happens to mine. If it's not crazy it's good but when it's gets trashed my surf wave turns to shit.

I'm in Kelowna on holidays. By noon there's 500 boats zipping all over. We got on the water at 7am this morning. Had beautiful glass until lunch, after that the tubes came out.
