Rpms bounce at lower speeds

2003 mobius lsv and noticed my toms are bouncing around quite a bit when at surfing speeds with surf ballast. To the point where the speeds are actually bouncing about 2mph as well. I did just go to a 1615 prop but I don't think that'd be it

Going to take the boat out this weekend too and hopefully we can attempt to diagnose it

If your using Perfect pass, I think there is an adjustment to smooth out the settings.

I have been on boats and when surfing you can feel and hear the engine surge forward to meet the speed, then it over shoots so it lowers the throttle, then falls behind and surges again. It was rather annoying for me and I was only the passenger.

Its normal for the boat to speed up and slow down, your car dows the same thing on cruise control its just a lot smother and you don't notice it as much.
