Yes, i started with the IBS full and the center tank full, but the wave wasn't quite there - not much push. I flipped the switch to drain the IBS and rode a bit with just the tank and it was ok, but then we emptied the center tank as well and it got way better. The wave was best when it was totally empty. Granted, now the bow is sticking in the air and the boat is listed to the side like a boat without a surf system, but this has been the only way I've been able to surf behind this boat since I've had it. I was literally ecstatic when I was finally able to ride - I had the boat listed for sale and was looking into trading it in on something else and now I'm keeping it!
