76 or so in our two favorite lakes. Lake Superior is still high 50's, low 60's depending on where you are, and the wind direction... Although we did get a 72 reading near shore the other day. North wind had been blowing surface water in for a couple days.
89 actually sounds kind of disgusting. Does that even cool you off?2019 Moomba Mojo

I agree with Stacy.
Our lakes get so warm that in September it is almost like being in a hot tub.
We actually have warnings about dangerous ameba's that want to get into your body and eventually kill you.
Every time I get home from a day on the lake, I immediately jump into the swimming pool which is a good 10 degrees cooler.
Yooper, you remind me of a friend who moved to Pittsburgh (my home town) from Cedarville, Mi. All summer long he would complain - "I really like Pittsburgh, but it is sooooooo damn hot".Last edited by slipperyrockTKE300; 08-03-2014 at 12:41 PM.

Hardly can hold 72, Wisconsin summer has been cold and windy
But.....I live on a lake now, so can't complain
I'd gladly take some 80 degree water! Send some up warm water my way Stacy.
