Smart buy! And wetsounds and a Z5 already in place... nice. If it doesn't already have a good prop upgrade, that'd be a good next purchase. Then it's ballast time! You're going to have an amazing summer!

Thanks when I bought it the guy threw in a brand new prop to go with her but I think it's just to the stock specs as well.

Question to those that have a Z5, how do y'all transport it while headed to the lake? I'll be driving a mim of 40min to hit the water. When I picked the boat up I just strapped it in the bed of the truck. It took up the whole bed. Any better suggestions?

Leave it on the boat. If you are worried about the canvas you can just remove the canvas and leave the frame on the tower. A lot of people just travel with it fully assembled on the tower. My personal method is if I am driving less than 100 miles I leave it up, over 100 miles I take the canvas off

I drop the z5 into the cabin of the boat. I think I have pictures in a thread, if you search my previous posts.

Thanks for the pics. Looks like the way to go. I just though if I leave it on the tower doing 70mph that the canvas would rip, and it looks like a pain to get on and off.

It's not hard to get on and off at all. It CAN get heavy if you leave boards on it, so pull those off first. Once you get used to it/ get your procedure dialed, it's super easy and quick.,,.

Sorry should have been clearer. Meant looks hard taking the canvas off. I like the in the boat storage, frees up the bed for more important things.

Yes, I agree with you there. I avoid doing that at all costs. It takes a bit of time.

If you do take it off and put it inside the boat you will need a towable boat cover to keep it inside your boat. That canvas is pretty durable. Make sure it's on tight.
