We have already made arrangements to demo both. They are both inside the service area so we can go over the features and spend some time on board before heading to the water. We will be able to get a good comparison side by side.

I think you will like both and it will come down to price. I bought a new 2012 LSV last November and my buddy bought a new 2012 Outback V last October. I only paid about $2-3k more than he did, so it was a no brainer for me. If you are looking at a $8-10k price difference, then it may not be worth it for the LSV. I love my LSV and it is a bit roomier than my buddies Outback V, but not so much where I would pay considerably more for it. I use my buddies boat about as much as I use mine and I am never disappointed by the wake, handling, etc. With that said, I have a '12 LSV, which is a bit different than the '13 and up LSV.

Unless the price is really far apart (I doubt it is since you're probably dealing with Skier's Marine North who are great guys) I would lean very hard toward the LSV.

I don't know if it might help or not but, my LSV is stored on the west side of Huntsville. You and your wife are more than welcome to have a look at it. Plus, your wife can talk to my wife about driving the LSV. You can send me a message if you think you might be interested. You won't regret an LSV.

We completed our test drive today. We did not drive the Outback V, only the LSV. For the difference in price, my wife liked the feel of the larger boat. I was amazed at the difference 1.5 feet makes to the feel of the interior. We spent about an hour out on the water. It was a little chilly but worth it. My wife drove it like a champ. She was a little hesitant when the boat was listed but she powered through. I drove a little too but she got most of the seat time by design. I believe the LSV will be the right choice for us. My wife is quite the negotiator and she has a few more questions for the salesman but it looks like there is an LSV in my future.

Nice! The new LSV has a great feel to it (very deep) and a proven hull design. Glad to hear its working out.
