Tower Speaker Issue
This may have already been covered but I couldn't find it.
I have an all stock stereo system on my 06 LSV with the 4 tower speaker bar. When I really crank it up, the speakers will cut in and out. Is this a safety setting on the amp to prevent damage to the speakers?

I'm not sure if my problem was the same or not, but I think the stock stereo is crap. The only thing it is good for is the wired remote option. I don't have tower speakers, but it would make my amp turn on and off at higher volumes too. It would actually turn itself off too. I replaced it and my new stereo is so much better. No problems. Hope this helps.

do you have an amp on the tower speakers? The problem with the radio is that there is too much of a load on it. It's running the 6 speakers in the boat but really only designed to run 4. No radio will do a good job of powering speakers properly, you really need an amp on all of them. A good amp will solve all of your problems.
