97 Moomba Outback
I didn't see many posts for the older Moomba's, so I thought I'd show mine off. This is my first, but definitely not last, boat. I've got the fever already!
The boat is a 97 Moomba Outback with the 5.8 HO motor. It has a nice Roswell tower with dual board racks and custom bimini.
Last week, I did the first round of stereo upgrades: 2 Rockford Fosgate amps, Optima yellow top, Perko battery switch, Eclipse CD5444 w/ iPod hook-up.
This week, I'm going for round number two. I'm pulling out the Fosgate amps and going with:
- Phoenix Gold Octane R 5Ch 900W amp for cabin speakers and sub
Phoenix Gold Octane R 4Ch 800W for tower speakers
JL Audio 10W3 v2 sub under the dash
2 pairs of Polk MOMO MMC650 speakers in the cabin
1 pair of AudioFormz Twisted enclosures with matching Polk MOMO MMC650 speakers
I'll post some pictures of the amp rack and install. I couldn't believe that I was cutting carpet and drilling holes the second day I had the boat.
Here are some pics:

Burke, nice boat. I was digging through some old posts looking at pictures and saw this one. I just picked up a red '97 a month ago. We've left it at the lake house and got to use it real good over the 4th. I'm ready to get back this weekend. Just started with wakeboarding this year and have found it very addictive. Just ordered a sofa sac for it this week and anxious to try that this weekend or next.

Congrats on the purchase. I'm loving mine so far. The sofa should help juice up the wake a bit. It can actually get pretty large at times. One thing that helped me starting out was shortening the rope. Anywhere between 50' - 70' seems to be pretty good for these boats.
