Replacing steering cable on 02' Outback.
I've replaced many steering cables on boats, but this 02' Outback is the hardest. Unable to get the back of the cable out of the front floor. The hole is too small. I removed wiring harnesses and bilge hose going thru same hole and still the nut on the cable is larger than the hole.
The cable is fully depress. Tried cutting the hole bigger but there is floor bracing at the same spot. Anybody replace one on a Outback before?

Got the cable changed. Had to cut the opening in the floor about 1/2" wider in front of the driver's seat.
