how do you add a pushpin?

right-click on the map and click on "directions from here" or "directiosn to here". Once you have a couple of places on there, you can add more by right-clicking and selecting "add location".

I'm not familiar with this whole area at all, and want to make this as easy as possible, as I'm out of town next week, will be going non-stop the weekend of the 4th, and then will be SWAMPED between then and this trip... I'm already worn out and excited all at the same time
