    Default Replacing oval Aerware remote

I've found a great solution to replacing the recessed Aerware remote at the helm for boat models that have it mounted on the dash panel. The issue of course is when removing the factory remote, you're left with a molded oval shape in the surface of the dash.

Fusion's remotes nearly a perfect solution. It has the same proportions as the oval, but bigger so that it covers not only the existing hole, but also 99% of the dash contour.

Fusion really nails the user interface... Only a few large buttons with no small labels that distract from driving, and the multi control wheel makes for fast volume adjustments and muting.

Pardon the lousy pic of the head unit. It requires the optional DIN sleeve, and even with that, it's a bit tricky to install it just right. The factory hole is just a few millimeters taller than it should be as it was not very precisely cut. Attaching the back of the radio with a strap to the inside of the dash helps with this.
