Yes they do, a big difference as the tonal ranges and clarity are so much greater than the stock speakers. Having adequate power to them is just as important too.

do you have to modify the existing hole that the kenwood fits in? I'm thinking about swapping these out for the tower speakers as well. These or the wetsounds.

Liquidlite, Some drop right in and others require a slight mod is all.

As far as Polks -vs- Wetsounds, there's no comparison in that application. The Polks will not project anything like the Wetsounds. For a good compromise go with the Kicker KMT6 setup as it projects back real good.
