I have not been at the SC factory for over a few years, but have been told they built a new building next to the existing one for a showroom, offices, meetings, R&D boats, etc. Not sure it's open to the public, but may be for tours (when they start again).

But you are right, no pics/cameras in the factory.

SC isn’t out of line for their request of no cameras etc, I know the Automakers do the same thing. Seems to be a manufacturing industry standard.

I did find an older SC plant tour video on YouTube as well as Malibu tour and not terribly different. But the risk of a prototype boat or proprietary process being exposed is worth having the policy in place.

Having photographic evidence of worker safety violations in the public domain along with proprietary processes would definitely impact future litigation. I can see the concerns from the lawyers, and anyone having a build done should be thankful they get any photos at all.

Not to hijack thread... maybe even mentioned earlier... are they offering factory tours right now if you have a boat in order? I just assumed not due to the Covid. Wife and I are driving past it on our way to Florida next month...

My dealer called on plant tour and unfortunately and understandably they were not doing any due to Christmas and New Years shutdown.

Woulda ran down there this week to see my boat finish up as I am off for holiday break anyways.

Not a big deal, headed to Lake Norris in June and will plan a SC tour then.

I think production must be running but guessing office crew has holidays off.

I noticed Supra got rid of the “Raptor” and “6.2L” transom emblems.

    Did this start in MY2020?

I guess it looks a bit cleaner without them.

I just looked at a 2020 SA online boat listing and didn’t see the Raptor emblems. https://atlantamarine.com/boats/2020-supra-sa-450/
