2007 LSV Light/Speaker Bar Replacement

I have a 2007 LSV and have hit my head on the light/speaker bar one to many times. I'm looking to remove the entire bar and replace with 2 tower speakers. Has anyone done this? Is it a difficult task? What type of speakers did you use? Pictures?

I called my local dealer (non-Moomba) and they said they only use JL speakers and would cost $1100 plus instillation. Not sure I need $1500 worth of tower speakers on an 07. We don't play music while surfing/riding, just while hanging out. Any suggestion on solid speakers that won't break the bank? Thanks guys!

I would go with a pair of 8" coaxial tower pods. This is going to give the best overall sound quality value. The Kicker KMTC8 would be a great choice. Standard tube clamps that swivel. The include LEDs, so since you are removing a light bar, you could wire those leads to the pods and have single color LED.
