Should I try to order the skiers choice depth gauge or go with a hummingbird/fiera/hawkeye?

I would just go with an aftermarket, I did that on my LSV because I wanted water-temp.

mmandley - Out of curiosity, was the aftermarket unit a simple plug & play option with the existing dash hole and wiring, or did you need to run a new wire and sending unit? I ask because the stock depth gauge on my '14 LSV has never been particularity accurate, and this summer it's really only been working ~50% of the time so I've been thinking about replacing it myself...

No it was not just as simple as plug and play.
It was drill a big ass 2" hole in my bilge through the hull, then fish the wires up to the dash and yes dropped right into the stock slot.
I had to drill a hole because of the Temp sensor needs to have water contact.
You can check with them, they might have a retro fit to plug into the factory one.
