I'm not an engine expert but I think that 315 hours is probably about right for a 2001. Certainly not high hours, but it hasn't sat in a garage unused for years at a time either.
I bought a used 2001 Outback LS last fall. I've been very happy with it. With a 7 or 8 year old boat, though, condition is everything.
315 is barely broke in. Stay on top of your maintenance and you will get plenty more as everyone else has said.
I have the indmar 350. it runs great.
Interesting your 98 Mobius is an Indmar and mine is the PCM. They must have been an option to pick from. I was told when I bought my boat in 2002 to stay away from the Mercuiser direct drives. I think these engines will last longer then most people keep their boats.
Hey Zab, mines and indmar... '98 model
