Shifting Into and Out of Forward /Reverse Very Stiff
Hey guys. I've searched the forum for this but can't find any answers. Lately my throttle shifter has become stiff to shift into reverse and forward. Is there a lubrication point either on the motor or on the shifter control unit itself? Never any salt water use. Thanks for the replies.

There isn't a lube point. We have have had a bunch of boats and have seen all kinds of throttle issues, but usually with cheaper boats. When the throttle gets difficult to move or to shift in, there is usually a problem with the throttle assembly itself. If you are near a dealer, get them to deal with it since you should still be under warranty.

I recall reading something about the assembly or a mounting bracket adjustment.

Wow. Something must be physically wrong for a 2021 to be causing trouble. Mine is still like the day I got it. I would definitely talk to a tech if someone else doesn't chime in with a solution.

Is there a tension control for the throttle? I feel like mine is too loose. If I go off a larger wake and land hard, it will move down and accelerate a little bit. Not a huge issue, but not what I really want in that situation.

A friend of mine has a Max and his throttle was loose so I found him that thread a few years ago and it stayed in my messenger with him. Glad to help!
I’m still waiting on my dang bank to release my funds from the Max sale, so unfortunately I’m having to wait until next week to get the SV. I was hoping to get it this weekend but gotta wait some more. I told my salesman this wait feels longer than when I had my Max built at the factory! Wife wants to go ahead and hit the lake next Saturday which is a holiday weekend and we normally skip that chaos but we gotta get the break-in over with so may as well get some hours in and try to avoid the crowds. Cants wait to get it and thanks for the compliments. It looks so much nicer in person!2024 Supra SV 400 “SUPA DUPA”
