    Default Intermittent depth gauge

2006 XLV with factory depth gauge. The transducer is solid type and not fillable. Transducer came loose from hull so I guestimated on the direction the transducer was mounted and re glued it with west system six10 adhesive. Now it works intermittently. 3 dashes for a minute or two and then displays the depth for a few minutes. Seems to be doing it more often as time goes on. Not sure if the transducer is going bad or if mounted it incorrectly. Seems like the moomba depth gauges have issues but thought I would ask. Thanks !

I have the same issue and have been told that sometimes with older models it just can't keep up. Usually only happens at higher speeds in deep water and when I slow down it starts to work.

Thank you Jimm. Yeah, mine is mostly in deeper water and while moving fast. I am considering adding a newer system that can be more dependable.
