Kind of a no brainer. I like the wakshade folds up.

@Ruger did you say you don't fold up your sail with the fabric on? Wondering if that is possible.
Shit…. The cinco de mayo effect didnt have me seeing price!!! What a difference indeed, and with further research I see the Sewlong ‘needs’ to be used with their Bimini

I see Sewlong makes something like that as well….

It ‘appears’ to extend further back, but looking for some pics online, especially on a Makai, these boats have a way of making everything seem small !!

Found a pic on a Moomba…. Extends quite far (though that pic is not a Makai)

Yep Sewlong makes a nice one for sure, but I couldn’t justify the price of it. But I really wouldn’t want one too much longer, you’d hit your head climbing back into the boat, or at least I would

You can fold the fabric in but it’s not connected anymore to the frame anymore, so lot easier/faster to just throw the fabric in the glove box.

    Bobby,

Thanks a ton for sharing, that looks like good coverage, and great work on matching the colors up, looks seamless!

Thanks for sharing, let us know how you like it when you get out on the water. We really like the factory shade, great coverage, but it sure would be nice the eliminate the rear poles.

That really looks good. They say you can surf with it up, but I am curious about dealing with the rope unless you put the rope on the side of the tower. I may try it though I don't know if it will conflict with our SewLong Bimini top.

This…. Would like to have additional confirmation with those who have real life experience, have ‘heard’ with the shoreline if using the top of the tower position for towing you run the rope under and it works… though I am sure over time the rope rubbing on the material will have an impact…. The side points seem to be fine from what I can see on the pictures…. (But my eyes have often deceived me)
