Raptor 575 Impeller
Has anyone changed the impeller on this motor? It seems impossible!

What boat? Typically you remove surf locker inner engine cover and the impeller housing is super easy to access.
I figured an SE550 from your name, so pull inner surf locker and it will be a piece of cake for ya....

I have and it is a major chore. For a couple hours I thought it was impossible too.

The 550/575 has a more complex cooler mounted in front of the engine that blocks access to the housing. Access is extremely tight. Originally Posted by larry_arizona

I worry that it would not be possible to do on the water in an emergency. Any boat movement would create chaos.
