Moomba Helix Surf Wake not Good Enough
Earlier this year we bought a 2017 Moomba Helix. We could never get a good enough wake so we upgraded our ballast bags. We have 1200 in both sides and in a 700 in the front. We fill the backs all the way and the front to around 60. The swim platform is about 3 inches under water. Wake plate at 50-100 and flow around 80. We do this for port side and starboard surfing. We still cannot get a good enough wake to surf without the rope. The wave is only 6-8 feet long at you have to get close to the boat to get any push. Even when emptying the opposite side out. Any suggestions on what settings we should use. Also we may try piggybacking a 700 pound bag on each side along with the 1200s. Is this too much or is it okay?

Also we don't have the long white wave extending back like all the good waves have.

Fill the front completely and lift the wakeplate up. You shouldn't ever need to reply it more than 25%. Then add a 700 on the seat on the side you are surfing and it will be good. Speed around 11mph

Also the surf plate should be deployed no More than 60%

Moomba Helix Surf Wake not Good Enough
I have a 2016 Helix with 1140's in the rear and stock tank in the front. We fill everything up. I thought I had Autowake but I don't so we were using the default settings of wake plate at 50 and surf plate at 75 and we can surf ropeless with two people onboard. I'm 190 lbs. The wave isn't real long but good enough.

Yeah move your flow down to the 60 range. Fill front completely. Have people sit on surf side. In my Mondo I only have 900s rear & 750ibs but I piggybacked a 250lb under the port seat. It helped a lot. Especially on light crew days.
What's your speed?

Also keep an eye on water depth, that is often over looked. Need a good 15ft of water to surf in. Deeper the better...
