Hey guys,
I have a 2004 LS with 750 hrs. Today my heater stopped working, the blower fan still works in both low and high settings but the air coming thru is not hot. I did a search and found all problems that others have had with thier heaters involves a leak and replacement core. The difference with mine is I do not have a leak. Would this still be a core replacement issue?
Have you ever changed your thermostat? Did your engine temp register 160? There may be a blockage in your core remove the hoses and see if they are patent. If your not over heating then i would think you have a blockage thats preventing water from circulating thru it imo

I have never changed my thermostat, my guage was reading the usual temp, just over 160. It is interesting when I was out yesterday some one had one of the hoses and said it was not very hot, then got hot.....maybe some sort of blockage is possible?
Also I run a closed loop cooling system, not sure if this changes things.
where are you located, disconnect the hoses and see if you can easily blow thru one, is it oem heater?

I am in Vancouver. It is the heater that came with the boat from the factory, I will try to remove the hoses tomorrow.
were you idling at the time? in cold water, idling , the heater may do that. Will heat up again when under way
