Padge, I purposefully haven't responded on the surf wave because you know I am going to say it is great. But even without my sales pitch hat on, I promise you that when weighted properly, it is awesome. Like I said before, the center lounge storage is super deep and in testing, I have filled that compartment up with sacks on both sides. With a little work and creative thinking, I am sure you could figure out how to plumb that into the rear bags...Quote:

Brett, the Max bow bag is actually a 1000lb bag completely under the floor. Again, with some work, you could probably plumb into it to add an integrated bow under the bow cushions, but again you would probably only want to run more front weight, if you added a LOT more rear weight. Instead of that, I have found that by adding weight in the middle, it is the best of both worlds, without drastically affecting your storage. You could probably get up to about 700lbs on each side under the lounge cushions. YES, it really is that big and deep. That would be an additional 1400lbs. That would be similar to adding a 500lb integrated back and an additional 450lbs on each side in the rear. However, with the 1400lbs in the middle and with the rear storage bins and non carpeted storage under the bow cushions, you have way more accessible storage.Quote:

Personally, I really like the new Ultra Blue metal flake. I think it looks great. On that one, I would probably have gone with larger Moomba logo. The Black metal flake also looks really cool. And the Brittany metal flake and black is actually a Helix. When I saw that one, I thought for sure you had ordered your new Max. hahaha

I also took a shot to show how the bow backs are hinged and the area behind the drivers footwell. As you can see on this model we put a free air sub in there currently, but there is plenty of room and accessibility to install a nice sub box and be able to work on it. You can also see in the picture how the storage is non-carpet with nonskid. It really adds a lot of storage up there that in the past was full of an IBS system.
I knew you guys would like that Ultra blue boat. I think it is currently my favorite color...

Why do you guys use that sub as a Free Air Sub? People come on here all the time and say how horrible it is & they think it's a shitty sub. I know for. A fact it is not shitty cause I have 4. They ARE NOT Free Air Subs. They need a box to sound good. A small 10" box I guess would increase build costs but not by much for a better sound & installed how it should be installed. Just my 2 cents.

We have amp setup sheets and we do adjust every amp, but again getting the best performance out of an amp requires tuning to make sure all gains, crossovers, filters, etc are setup just right. We also typically have our amps set on the more conservative side. I am sure many of you have found that out and by adjusting the amps, you can improve performance. We understand that and we are constantly trying to improve that, but sometimes the improvements are more baby steps than anything.
Anyways, hopefully we will continue to improve all our "performance" related components including subs. But until then, we are trying to give you plenty of space and room to do whatever you would like. Hope that makes sense....

Ok I have another ballast question. In regards to the rear lockers, when you have the storage tray installed, how much room do you have between bag and bottom or the tray? Do you have dimensions of the locker? Why does it look like the side panels are at an angle? Looks like there's a bunch of room on the sides of you remove the panel? Or is it just an illusion? 🤷🏼*♂️
How much weight do you think those trays can hold? You think 2 AO coolers filled with beer? Haha

When the rear storage trays are in, the ballast bag fills to the very bottom of the tray. So no lost space between top of bag and bottom of tray. There is obviously some room under the gunnel to the side of the tray, but when you see how deep these are in person, I don't think you will complain about lack of storage. As you can see in the one pic, there is plenty of room for the AO stow and go cooler. I think you can keep plenty of beers cold in there if you want. I don't know how much the tray will hold, but I did stand up in it and I am about 190lbs. Like I said before, it is really designed to hold life jackets and ropes, but if beer is more of a necessity, it will hold plenty of that.
As a side note, you will notice in the picture there is a little ledge and we have mounted some eyelets on this one. This is the R&D boat. The eyelets are not on standard production, but we have toyed with the idea of straps across the ledge to hold lifejackets up or to play with dividers. Anyways, just playing around constantly trying to come up with new and better ideas...

Not to my knowledge. I asked that exact question when we went out on a Max a few weeks ago, there seems to be so much dead space right there in the nose that I suggested they either make the backrest hinged OR make the top piece where the step pad is a door that you can open and stow your anchor in. I've seen it on some other boats or some boats put a bow ladder under a hinged door there, I think it'd be a great use of space though for an anchor. Plus more bow weight!Quote:

The front bow back does not flip up and we don't have access from the top. But when you see this boat, I don't think you will be missing storage locations. You could easily store an anchor under the front bow cushion. Keep in mind there is no bow sack under the cushions because we already have 1000lbs under the floor in the front. I am a huge fan of displacement, but I think you will find plenty of space in the middle of the boat to add extra weight and you might not need the extra weight in the actual bow. Most people put a lot of weight in the very back and then offset that with bow weight in the very front. But with this boat having so much potential to add extra weight in the very middle of the boat, then you might like that better.
