That's a bummer but it's the kinda of thing that will only happen once and you'll never forget it.
(I got to the lake, prepped boat with crew and realized I left the key at home...doh! [emoji2363])
I'm pretty sure no wakeboat manufacturer offers a bimini that is intended to be deployed at highway speeds.
Maybe it's fate that you were meant to get the SewLong and report back to us.

Haha thanks guys in the big picture not a huge deal and yeah they said “don’t tow with it” I towed with it, it broke.
And actually it’s still useable! And really not all that bad, however a janky looking Bimini is definitely ruining the coeds Instagram pics hahahaha
I think just straight replacement hopefully just the hardware can be had for under $1000
Sew long with no board storage is going to be around $1700 I believe

We have a Sewlong and it is nice to have the extra couple feet of bimini. They do hold up really well to the wind, but we did have one of the arms bend when we had the bimini up during a wind storm at Lake Powell that hit us pretty hard. It was probably in the 60+ mph range and was really doing a number on the supports. The fabric held up great, but it bend the ears a little. Nothing a little percussive maintenance couldn't fix. One thing we don't like about the Sewlong is that we have to remove the mounting brackets and the whole bimini to fold down the tower. Not really a big deal, since it only needs to come down during winter when we put the boat in a garage, but still something to consider and know about.

Sewlong said their bimini is 78" x 60". What was the size of the factory bimini on the mojo?

Depends on what tower you have. The pro tower is just a touch longer.

I don’t ever use the board storage but yeah definitely could have been worse I was also glad if the middle bar was going to come loose thankful it didn’t spear into any vinyl haha
But it’s the Aviator pro tower or a3 tower so not sure of the exact size.

Well guys looks like I’m going to go with the sewlong, got quoted almost $1300 for just the hardware on the stock Bimini. And since the actual fabric is torn a little why not spend $1700 for an entire new Bimini that covers more.
Also going to go with the sunshade extender, so will be sure to update everyone on how it is

Also worth noting it won’t be here until September so it’s going to be a long hot summer with a damaged Bimini haha
Also thinking the 8’ instead of 5’ extension

Very nice. Im interested in the same set up. You will have to let me know if you can access the board storage with the rear shade up.

Apparently you can surf with the shade up which I was surprised about he admitted the 8’ would get in the way of the rope however. I’m also not getting the board storage. Don’t use it, would rather add another board rack if it ever came down to it haha
I really like the board pockets. It keeps them out of the way and very well supported. It looks like they have made major updates to the hardware as well. The brackets on our bimini are huge, which is why we can't fold the tower with them on it. That looks like it will probably even fold down if necessary. I am sure the extension will be nice too, but I think it would be a little bit too in the way when changing surfers over and how do you keep the rope away unless you have side tow points.

I wish there was a video showing how easy or hard it is to deploy and then put away.
I think most can agree, all the velcro straps for the OEM Moomba bimini on the A3 tower is a pita.

Velcro sucks. The salesman even said if you were going to leave it up when surfing to go for the 5’ extension. I tie up with friends for the majority of the day sometimes so i think I’ll get the 8’ and only use it when tied up.
They also said there are some videos of the other Biminis and they all fold basically the same so I’ve got to check them out.
They also also told me the warranty does NOT cover trailering sooo

Plumbed in 50x20x8 midship bags (325# a side) on top of the subfloor. Should have gone with the 60x20x8.
I removed two plugs off the top of each bag put in a 1” fitting and ran lines. I used about 16’ of hose. 4 90* fittings and 4 straight connectors. 4 wake maker plugs and 4 1” bag fittings.
I need to move the bag a little and the plugs on top will be visible to burp the bag. When I drained the bag completely. Pretty happy with it.
Started down pouring when I was done. I’ll post wave pics tomorrow. Have 500# in the boat already. And another 500# to add.

How much did you spend on the bags fittings hoses? 50x20x8 comes out to 290# of fresh water but maybe the bags flex the extra 35#s.

They do flex out and fill up the space, the 320 is just the rating on the website. I think it was 450 or so total.

Played around with setting again and had 3 other people out with us today. Didn’t take a picture of just the wave so here is one from a video of my wife.
I also left autowake on all day since we had 2400# of people/gear/lead/bags. Never had a problem. It only dumped the front bag when my mom and son moved up to the bow from the back. Stopped at 85%

That looks pretty great sleek!
Anyone else having an issue with the surf tab actuator "set" value being different than the "actual" value? My set value is 10 higher than actual reading. It responds up and down but just reads wrong. If i go all the way to 0, it will do nothing from 0-10, then moves after I go higher than 10. I've gone into the setting menu and reset(or retract) flow plates but that doesnt change the issue. Thoughts?

Thanks.
Do you have flow 3? I have the same issue where its usually 10-12 digits off in either direction, when moving it gets closer but I assumed it had to do with the yaw plates moving around the boat being smarter than me.
An issue we had yesterday when surfing, if we use the manual switch to select port side surfing and turn the boat off, but dont flip the switch back to middle it will flip the plates on startup and deploy the starboard side wave. First time we had it happen when swapping riders we kicked the boat off then pulled a newbie up but the wave was on the wrong side, took a min to figure out what the heck happened. I could force it to do it every time we kicked the boat off and didnt flip the switch back to the middle position. I think we need to just start using the touch screen, or remember to kick it off when we turn the boat off.

Flow 2
I feel like I've done this exact same thing you describe here with the surf side switching. Didnt think much of it at the time.
But yeah the values being off from the set value seems strange.

I just thought I was too stupid to understand it. I use the manual selector switch too. I have noticed if I flip it on and off a couple of times the value changes too. Don't know why.

Went out tonight and noticed that if I used the on screen surf switch and not the manual switch then it read correctly with the set value. Awesome.

Interesting discovery. I’ve been using the switch rather than the touchscreen toggle. Will need to try this next time I’m out
