What size ski do I need.
I am a male 6ft 2inches tall and weigh 180 lbs. I am looking at getting the O'Brien Synchro. My question is what size. 66'' or 69" Any insight would be apreciated. Thanks

If he choice is between 66 and 69, I would recommend the 69 also. A 67 or 68 would be more suitable.

Height and weight are pretty important, but you also need to consider your typical rope length and speed. If you are skiing long line, 75' and 30 mph your ski length requirements will be quite different than if you are running 32 off at 34 or 36. The faster and shorter you go, the shorter the ski you can use.
Over the last 25 years I was 5'10 and weight ran 170 - 200 depending on year, and I was on 65 inch Connelly Shortline skiing 15 off at 30 mph for years, and only dabling with anything shorter. If fell a lot and had issues that I could not explain, and got tired fast. Over the last two years I have moved up to about 215 ( I am working on it getting that back under control). I also moved up to a 69' Connelly Concept. In a matter of a about two years I went from fighting 15 off at 30 mph, to having a lot of fun runnig 32 off at 34. There are a lot of things that can probably account for this, but I bet the right ski length had a lot to do with it.
My guess is that O'Brien has a web site that will probably recommend the best lenght for that ski based on all of the above.

Based on your measurements
If you are skiing 22 off at 36 mph on the slalom course, i would go with the 66" ski.
If you are a recreational skier with longer rope lengths and slower speed, go with the 69"
I am a 175 lbs, 5'10". I had been skiing a 65" ski, but recently went to a 67" ski. I ski 36 mph at 22 or more off. I am doing some tweaking on the new ski this year, but if I am still not happy, I will probably go to a 66" next year.
