that seems a little high? I would have hoped to see $54 somewhat loaded out to better steal the business from mb.
of course if that's msrp and we see 10% off that, it's right on the money :)

I think my OBV sticker was like $53k - no way they'd have both at the same price point, and I can't see SC lowering the retail on the OBV.

I've said it elsewhere. that is hands down the best graphics package to ever come out of skiers... reminds me of the stripes on some of the old plymouth muscle cars..

After seeing the chrome Moomba decals, I think I will put them on my white 08 LSV. I have thought it would look good and seeing the 2014 white LSV has made me decide that will be my next project this winter!

yes. who woundn't want a hemi-cuda or roadrunner with that mondo fin sitting in their garage....

watched the vid on the sc. I really like that boat. will be interesting to see more shots of the surfwake on the other side once it's sacked out... gotta be one of the few sub-22ft boats offering the 550hp motor?

Very nice, has the tradition bow, which I still prefer. Looks like it rides flatter like a wake setter .

Does this mean the launch 21 and 22 are being phased out.,

Still in love with the 242.

Dave, Dave, Dave....

The SC is the Exact same hull as the SA from the Skags back, and its a new hull from the Skags forward.
Its the Exact same boat top deck except the Bow is not a wide nose.

The wake board wave is identical to the SA but this surfs fare better then anything in the Supra line

Cody

Bottom line is Skiers Choice made huge improvements in the wakeboat industry and both the Mondo and the SC are homeruns in my opinion.

These boats will eat up more of the market.

sorry, jester but that isn't correct. there is a section of the running surface that is the same, the motor options are the same, the interior components/electronics are the same, but after those they are completely different boats just like the LSV and Mojo. The lengths, depths and characteristics of the boat are different. Both great boats, IMO, just different. Again, like LSV and Mojo.

As long as you remember that little brass thingy that goes in the back!

Stephen,

You will be surprised how much water can be in a Moomba and have it still be floating. There was a photo a few years back of one trapped in a storm and was full of water and the owner was still able to driver her.

Another news release about the SC.

Yes, you did and I agree with your sentiment that they are both great boats. Just didn't want folks to think that they simply threw a different front end on the SA.

no worries.

All I got it. I agree. I should have stated it better.

mmandley

Some of the differences if you want to get more technical about the SC and the SA

SC is a couple inches wider in the main cabin due to the 102 beam
The SC is also 4 inches Deeper in the seating thought the entire boat
The SC is 10 inches shorter then the SA but thats due to the Bow and the Sun Pan on the SC is very small.

The SC still retain the 200 hard tank in the rear and the 500 in the floor
The SC has Plug and Play for the rear Lockers, and the IBS so you can plug bags in and the main pumps in the boat will fill and drain with no other changes
The SC also has the same tower as the SA BUT it has interior panels on the inside and you can color match the outside panel to blenb better with your boat colors.

The new SC front hull is designed to keep the nose low in the water when surfing, and it had ridges that are specific to surfing so when you slow down the water is pushed away from the nose to reduce incoming rollers.

There is also on the rear of the boat, looking at the current Black and White SC where the Black is on the rear 1/4 is a 1/2 inch lip and this is used to help shape the surf wave.

[QUOTE=wolfeman131;222674]stock ballast
I believe capacity is a NMMA formula based on gross weight of vessel, less factory ballast divided by some arbitrary avg weight per person. Has nothing to do with # of seats, configuration, etc.

My LSV has 1800#s of stock ballast, and an 1800# capacity. Does this mean I can't get in the boat when the ballast is full?

wolfeman131

correct. you are to fill the boat and then sit on the dock while I take your boat out for a proper surf session.

Nope sorry No Mondo, I don't think they have one on the West Coast yet. They had the SC shipped out here and we were the first to take it out and surf it.

Claudia is actually the first to surf it and surf Goofy on it on the west coast. Small accomplishment but its what it is LOL

mondo with the "classic" gel scheme > mondo with the cuda stripes gel

the new scheme, it just really ruins the lines of the hull.

I use Chip Foose cars as a reference for a lot of things. less is more. and he would never run graphics perpendicular to the body lines. really ruins the flow.
